Hey there!
I'm so happy you're here! I'm assuming you're a mama like me, wanting to forever capture your kids in their current phase of life so you never forget the haircut your three year old gave herself, your eleven year old's braces, or your senior's last bit of time at home before they find a little bit of freedom. I could go on but I know you get it.
I'm not very good at talking about myself, I'd rather learn about you!! Alas, here's a little snippet of who you will get when you hire me as your photographer. I'm a low maintenance gal, powered by the love all around me, and coffee, lots of coffee! My favorite drink you ask? A white chocolate macadamia nut oat milk latte, ask my husband how much he likes to order that for me, HA! I'm a collector of beautifully photographed cookbooks but I rarely cook from them (oops). I'm an enneagram type 2 (the giver), plus I'm an introvert and an empath so that should explain a lot-bring on all the sentimental, sappy feelings! It brings me the most genuine joy making other people feel loved and happy. I guess that's one of the reasons I love photographing families, I want you to look back at the photos and remember the beauty in your current phase of life, to look at your photos and see what it's like to look at yourself through your partner and children's eyes. I promise it's far more beautiful than you can even imagine!
I'm a Montana girl born and raised. I grew up riding horses and my very special white mule named Fancy. I graduated with a class of 17 kids and loved every minute of it! I went to Montana Tech and got my degree in accounting. My husband Joey and I put down roots outside of Billings, Montana, and we have three sweet and spicy kids. We also have dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, a goose, and a bearded dragon named Speedy (not to leave anybody out!!). My kids make my world go 'round and drive me crazy on the daily! They are the reason I picked up a camera in the first place and sparked my passion for documenting families. In my free time, you will find me doing barre exercises (I hate to exercise but feel so good about it after!), eating Doritos while watching HGTV (it's called balance), or running my kids around to whatever sports/activity season we're currently in. My favorite singer is Elvis, so much so that I named my daughter Presley!
I believe mamas have the hardest jobs in the world, a good photograph will hold sentimental value for a lifetime, and kindness and inclusivity are more important than anything. You are welcome here and you are loved, after all LOVE IS LOVE!!!
I love shooting outdoors, however, living in Montana I know that's not always an option, so I also have a sweet little natural light studio on my property! The studio is full of all of my Joanna Gaines dreams, with shiplap and brick walls, it's perfect for the winter months. It is also great if you have a newborn, or if you're just looking for a change of scenery!
If I had to describe my photography style in a few words, it would be warm, vibrant, happy, and emotional. I want to capture your family dynamic, your connection and love for each other (however that may look--outgoing, shy, crazy), and when I mix in a pretty location, magic happens! I want to laugh with you and show you how special you and your family are, I want to make memories you'll put on your walls and cherish in your heart forever (see, I told you I am sappy).
Nothing would make me happier than to love on your family, and capture your smiles!
Now, tell me something unexpected about you!! Also, what's your go to coffee order?
